Realizing Your Full Potential
Our purpose at Upbuild is to help people realize their full potential. To do this, we must start by understanding ourselves completely – our underlying motivations, our fears, our desires, why we get triggered when we do, and how we can overcome whatever might be holding us back from achieving our goals.
This workshop gives us a framework to better understand ourselves as well as the many people in our lives. It gives us tools to make us more aware of subconscious patterns of thought that prevent us from expressing our true selves and enabling us to be who we are capable of being. And it gives us the insights to start to free ourselves from our own egos, which is the only way to realize our full potential.
What You Will Get Out Of This Workshop
Here are a few highlights of what you should expect to get out of this workshop:
- Understanding of the underlying motivations, fears and desires of your personality type
- Increased awareness of your blind spots and how other people might see you
- Insight into your personal and professional relationships, particularly those in which you experience some conflict, and how to improve them
- Greater empathy for colleagues, family and friends when their behaviors trigger you, enabling you to have more effective conversations

If you’d like to talk to someone who has recently taken the workshop to hear more about the experience before signing up, please send us a message and we’ll connect you to a previous participant.
The Framework We Use
The workshop revolves around the nine distinct personality types of the Enneagram, which is a powerful system for better understanding ourselves and others, and a robust tool for personal development and transformation. Together we will examine each of the nine types, learn about the basic motivations, fears and desires of each type, help you determine your type, discuss how to maximize each type’s potential and minimize predictable pitfalls, and introduce a series of practical exercises that you will be able to take away with you.
Friday 6:30-8:30pm We will start on Friday evening with an introduction to the Enneagram framework and an exercise/discussion about ego. Saturday 10am-7:30pm On Saturday morning we will begin with an overview of all nine personality types of the Enneagram. For lunch we will split up into groups by Enneagram type to meet others of the same type, ask questions and share early reflections. In the afternoon we will start to examine each personality type in greater depth through multimedia profiles/vignettes, interactive exercises, and participant panels. Sunday 10am-7:30pm On Sunday we will continue our deeper examination of the remaining personality types before wrapping up with a special partner exercise and commencement (“where do we go from here?”). You can see the detailed agenda here.
To reserve your spot, you’ll pay $150 when you register. At the end of the workshop, you’ll be asked to pay a balance of your choosing ($150, $200, $250, or any amount you wish to pay) based on what you get out of the workshop.
We are both former monks in the Bhakti tradition. We spent years engaging in the work of self-observation and self-inquiry through a rigorous practice of meditation and scriptural study. We have been trained in the Enneagram by Don Riso and Russ Hudson, the preeminent teachers of this framework. And we infuse our work with our knowledge and understanding of the Bhagavad Gita to create a completely unique workshop to help people realize their full potential.
